Maroon PR and its client, SkillsUSA, enjoyed celebrating the official launch of theSkillsUSA Career Essentials Credential during a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C..

The credential is designed to help close the skills gap by providing much needed career skills for new hires. The credential will have a positive impact in future workforce development and effective Human Resources Strategies for companies.

The event featured attendees and speakers including Assistant Secretary John Pallasch with the U.S. Department of Labor, Principal Deputy Under Secretary Diane Auer Jones with the U.S. Department of Education and General Manager for Product Quality and Service Support Rose Bauss with Toyota.

This new curriculum and credential program provides CTE students with the foundational skills, attitudes and values necessary to ensure that America has the skilled workforce it needs to combat the growing U.S. skills gap and to stay competitive on a global scale.

Maroon PR will support SkillsUSA in the coming months with earned media and media relations support for national press outreach, as well as market-to-market media support around the country.
