Maroon PR Promotes Facebook’s Community Boost Event in Baltimore
November 15, 2018
Facebook recently brought its Community Boost event to Baltimore with hundreds of participants in attendance looking to strengthen their digital skills. Facebook’s Community Boost program is designed to help small businesses and job seekers grow and better compete in today’s new economy.
While in Baltimore, Facebook unveiled two new partnerships. Facebook announced it is partnering with Baltimore City Community College to create a new digital marketing certificate program. By the end of the year, Facebook plans to establish partnerships with 20 community colleges to offer digital marketing training. In addition, through a new partnership with the Baltimore Small Business Resource Center, the Center will now offer general business training to local entrepreneurs throughout the year, even after the Facebook Community Boost event has ended.
These new programs will make training in digital skills — including social media marketing and digital media strategy — more accessible to the local community and equip graduates to participate in the digital workforce.
