A seasoned marketing and public relations strategist, Kristen has over 25 years of experience across several industries including healthcare, non-profits, government affairs, and sports and entertainment.
Her career span includes 15 years with Virginia Hospital Center Health System where she served as Communications Advisor to Board Chairman, Senior Director of Marketing & Corporate Communications and Public Information Officer (PIO). Kristen directed internal and external public relations campaigns and led the Emergency Preparedness Subcommittee on all crisis communications in collaboration with federal, state and local agencies including the Pentagon, Virginia Department of Health, and Arlington County Health Department.
Kristen managed media relations for Washington Sports and Entertainment (Washington Wizards, Washington Mystics, Washington Capitals) for 10 years, and worked with the NBA on special events PR including five NBA All-Star Games. Her non-profit and government affairs experience involves legislative advocacy on Capitol Hill focused on strengthening community health.
Kristen graduated from Old Dominion University with a degree in Communications. A northern Virginia native, she enjoys spending time with family, on the beach, and with her Cocker Spaniel Molly Mae.
